I had an issue with the SCT file sometimes not being written during a form edit with windows 10. Luckily it was available in a tmp file so I did not lose any work. Changing the security settings for users to 'full control' for all my work folders seems to have eliminated this. The default security settings in 10 have been a problem in other areas also and may be the cause of your problem..
