AFAICS the current version on NuGet is the one I have (0.2.15)

Don't know - $state.go supports the notify parameter so I guess it should.
But looking at the current documentation (
http://angular-ui.github.io/ui-router/site/#/api/ui.router.state.$state ) I see a $state.reload. Snip:
"A method that force reloads the current state. All resolves are re-resolved,
controllers reinstantiated, and events re-fired."
Sounds like that might be what you need ?
