I believe I have a similar problem as you.
My Client, has a VFP 3.0 App, that just barely has acceptable performance (at least as far as refreshes go), they want to migrate this to FVP6.0, but after re-compiling, The refresh rate is about double what it was in VFP3.0. I've been looking at this problem for some time now, and haven't found any solutions. If I do, I will let you know.
