There's a lot of good stuff in team sports that draws in even average players who might hope to score a try this season or at least take part in some wins. Compared to not a lot there for an average cross country runner.

First, on rugby, I've watched it a few times and admittedly I haven't been able to get all that excited about it.

Maybe it would take a certain set of personalities to spark my interest. When I was a teen I developed an interest in soccer because of certain players on the old NY Cosmos team. And then during the World Cup in 2006 I was very interested because of the wizardry of Zedaine.

And semi-related to health. Tomorrow I'm heading down to Brooklyn for VS Live, doing a few sessions. It was nearly a year ago when I drove to VS Live in DC and got really sick. That started a run of bronchial infections, pneumonia, and then the flu from hell. I spent all of October, most of November, and part of December trying to fight off something. Since then I started taking vitamins daily - and I haven't been sick in a year. In my adult life I have never gone a year without getting sick - I'm always picking up nasty sinus bugs that turn into strep or bronchitis. But after taking vitamins regularly I haven't been sick since (knock on wood).

I take the Men's over 50 Gummy Vitamins....the instructions say to take 2 a day. So I usually scarf down 10-15 a day :)
