Other than that I understand that the do-it-all stuff may reside in the chilkat swiss knife. Which appears to have everything I am looking for in terms of functionality including offering in-memory support AES-encoded support for sensitive resources as well as all kinds of zip functionality.

At a cost, cof course. The bill is limited but the size of the do-it-all lib is no small feat (over 7 Mbts). If anyone could jump in and confirm the chilkat package is robust, that could certainly close the thread.
