To clarify, while McCarthy's statements were pretty dumb, the non-sequitur is the conclusion that the Clinton camp and much of the liberal media have reached - that McCarthy's statements were a "truthful statement told by accident" that wind up vindicating Clinton (or prove that the only reason they went after Hillary was political)
