Its irrelevant whether there will be massive amount of firearms left. Nobody expects the full effects will be visible within months. Using that argument is just a lame excuse of doing nothing. If we can make it more difficult for teens and young adults to purchase a gun (let alone automatic guns), go to their university and slaughter people by the dozens it is a win already. The real gain will take many years as it did for example in Australia.

This year alone, more than one incident per year where more than 4 people where killed in mass shootings. No matter the circumstance, how would you feel if your beloved ones were victims of such crime?

I can't believe Americans do not love their children to let them slaughtered by nutcases who can by a gun just as easy as a diet coke.
