As part of upcoming changes in the Universal Thread, I would like to introduce a new forum just created. The "VM environment" forum will serve for related VM needs. Virtual environments have become a new standard for corporate infrastructures and I believe this should be interesting to talk about.

Two years ago, I got involved into a major project to move dedicated hardware into a VM infrastructure. This was a very big nationwide migration. I mostly detailed some of the project steps, participated in the validation process and got involved a lot in other related technical aspects.

In the last four weeks, I have been driving a major project to move several major corporate components into a hosting facility, where this time I have to do it all. So, as this world is so complex and there are so many variables, I thought it would be nice to have a forum to participate in it.

The way I have detailed the forum categories for now covers a lot of things related such as installation, configuration, maintenance and expansion. Feel free to suggest adjustments. This new world and concept for corporations to build and maintain their networking infrastructures is surely a topic that will affect pretty much all of us for years to come.
