>>Yesterday an 11 year old kid killed a young girl because she refused to show her puppies, and the father still insist the guns are not the problems. I mean, how completely stupid do you have to be not to see the flaw in that reasoning. Multiple lives were destroyed because of the simple fact of the gun being at hand.
>>This whole discussion is stupid because of all the excuses people make not having to give up their rights to own and use guns to compensate for their small willy.

>Believe me, it infuriates me to no end, when I hear stories that a five year old finds a gun underneath the bed, in an unsecured dresser drawer, etc. What the father doesn't realize is that the father himself was the problem. I am still a believer in right to own firearms, but I am also a believer in taking that responsibility far more seriously than some people do. People who leave firearms in places where kids can access them are nothing but stone-cold morons. There is just excuse at all for a loaded weapon getting into the hands of a child....period.

..and if that gun did not exist or the person did not have it to begin with then none of this would of happened....period. 7 kids a day die in the USA from gunshots - 5 killed and 2 by suicide EVERY DAY.. Any attempt to rationalize that with ....well with anything ... does not fix the issue. I do not have a problem with a responsible gun owner having a gun - but unless you're a fortune teller and can see the future there is no way to determine who that is going to be. All these things happening at the hands of legal gun owners tells me that we simply need to get rid of the guns.
