>>Hi folks,
>>
>>Since we are talking politics recently, I wonder about the feelings the pro's of this forum have concerning Hilary's email server.
>>
>>At first I didn't think to much of the fact that she had a private server. But as more information came out about the server I changed my mind. And when I thought about the exposure the server provided I became very concerned about the reasons behind the use of a private email server.

>My understanding is that she used a server that had been set up for Bill. Presumably, such a server would have needed to be rather more secure than a typical home installation.

Well the sysadmin left VNC and RDP exposed to the internet and RDP's default Port 3389 is one of the most scanned ports on the net so it doesn't seem all that 'secure' to me.

>It's also my understanding that, at the time she made the choice, it was not illegal for her to do so.

but .....
The Federal Records Act requires agencies hold onto official communications, including all work-related emails, and government employees cannot destroy or remove relevant records.

Section 1924 of Title 18 has to do with deletion and retention of classified documents. "Knowingly" removing or housing classified information at an "unauthorized location" is subject to a fine or a year in prison.

so it was illegal right? I am no expert, perhaps I have it all wrong???
