>Yes, Bush's re-election was a wake up call for me.
>Bush's campaign was masterfully orchestrated and Kerry's was abysmally botched.
>Their guy was a draft-dodging drunk during the Vietnam war.
>Our guy volunteered to go to Vietnam and had a bronze star, a silver star and 3 purple hearts.
>Guess what?
>Kerry's patriotism was an issue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well the issue they had with Kerry is he took that bronze start and tossed it over the white house fence (along with a lot of other vets) during a protest. Ironically Bush dodging the Vietnam war is ONE thing that I don't hold against him (or anyone else that did it). But yeah you're darn right - there was no reason to have a problem with Kerry's patriotism.
