This is emerging technology, you can get an overview of various options by Googling [wifi display adapter].

Here's another device from StarTech, which specializes in new/unusual connectivity options: http://www.startech.com/AV/Extenders/HDMI/HDMI-Wireless-Display-Adapter-Miracast~WIFI2HDMC

You may want to look further into technologies such as Miracast and WiDi. I don't use them myself but I know they exist.

As for USB at your monitor, the wireless adapter is only using that as a power source. So you can plug it into a standard powered USB hub for that connector.

Cables are still better in many ways:

- Much simpler
- Higher bandwidth. I don't know if any wireless display technology can support 4K video yet
- Not subject to interference, lag/latency
- More secure if that's an issue
