I've been using ChromeCast (Google) for a while and I really like it.

Very simple installation. Plug only one cable into HDMI and USB on your tv. Then install software on your phone or tablet. Simple configuration for it all to work.

I use this mainly to have Netflix transferred from my iPad to the TV. Downside to this though. Limited choice of the apps you can use on your tv. NetFlix, YouTube and some others.
