Because the delta of information added by this vector IMO would be marginal. They have with Google apps on Android and Chrome in Windows vectors that are installed more often. Chromecast could probably provide more info which big screen the dongle is installed on - but other than that, what additional info can Google get from a device that primarily acts as a receiver for WLANed HDMI info stream? As the dongle is a sender as well, it could send back info, but the other apps could do it IMO easier and they have greater penetration in population.

Not saying that I am happy with the amount of info gathered automatically, and Google is no shining knight IMO. But MS with Windows 10 seems to have closed the gap/aquired much darker hat, aka new rules allowing them to scan private mail as well if moved with their services and the encrypted info sent to their servers from desktop OS they now seemingly backported to older Windows versions.

And yes, I have a really dumb cell phone in addition to the android devices - one where I can also easily remove the battery pack if I deem it necessary.

Paranoid hobbies are nothing to be ashamed of ;-)

>>Cables are not bad IMO: anything on air is easier spied upon. I have no opinion on bad side effects of more radiation on human bodies, but the benefit of loosing cables is not that big, so for me cables if possible ;-)
