LOL. In fairness, your low dose aspirin and anti-reflux are innocuous. How about if you'd had a psych issue and were applying for a job. Maybe the daughter of a politician is in rehab or having a difficult pregnancy. Maybe a CEO unexpectedly finds herself pregnant or has a diagnosis of cancer. Privacy might be valued differently when walking in those shoes.

Seems to me that privacy ought to be a default position and those who don't value it can sell or trade it for something they do care about. In my case I sacrificed my privacy for a $27 fare reduction on Uber. In fairness I removed my contacts when I moved away from intrusive Google messenger and was getting on a flight the following day that would leave Uber's trackers scratching their virtual heads in confusion, but I can't complain if Uber trawls my disused gmail account now.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
"
