Actually, John, it's more like "If this won't generate a lot of revenue, save a lot of money, or satisfy requirements demanded by a valuable customer, don't do it all, no matter what the language."

At least in the SMB arena there's a steady stream of projects that meets those demands.
Customers, especially, are continually demanding more from vendors' IT capabilities.
Anyone who does not go overboard- deserves to.
