Marcia, one of the issues at play here is diversion. The minute there is legitimate criticism, others will launch into this "R's are idiots, crackpots, they believe the earth is 6,000 years old, they want to take evolution out of school, etc.".

As an independent, I don't care how much someone rips into the Rs - often I'll agree.

But that doesn't change the fact that this administration actively engaged in 2 monumental lies near an election. One was the "if you like your plan/doctor, you can keep it", and then lie regarding the attack of a poorly-secured US embassy (that took four American lives) on the anniversary of the greatest attack on U.S. soil - initiated by an affiliate of the original attackers.

These are facts. Ones which opponents of the R party are simply unwilling to acknowledge. It's all about intellectual honesty.
