The fact of the matter is that your government forces many, many rules that conflict with your idea of 'rights'.

Something that you may not be familiar with: we happen to have a constitution and a bill of rights that guarantees many of these rights. Although his royal highness, King Obama, has spat on the constitution, he can't repeal the second amendment by using his phone and his pen (executive order). I am not saying that amendments can't be repealed - the 21st amendment repealed the 18th (the only time in US history that an amendment was ever repealed in its entirety).
