I am converting VFP data to SQL Server (using my own conversion routine). The problem I experience is that one table has a record (very first one) that one field appears empty but it is not. And it is not NULL. That is ISNULL( ThisFieldValue ) returns .F. and EMPTY( ThisFieldValue) returns .F. Of course I can skip this first field but I would like to find a way to "deal" with this.

I need to SKIP these type of values (consider them empty). How can I evaluate the value in this field and know that it is a "real" value or some value that does not show but yet there? Also, any suggestion of I can "see" what is the value in this field?

UPDATE: I decided to evaluate the value by using ASC(). If ASC(ThisFieldValue) is less than 32, the value is "corrupted".
