>>Are you talking about the "Occupy Wall Street" people. It seems to me that "me me me" is their mantra. Don't they want to take things away from the people who have earned them because they, as the 99%-ers, don't have these things? Ooops. Maybe I am wrong. Instead of "me me me", I think their mantra is "Gimme gimme gimme"...

Yes, but this relies on a sophist definition of "earn" that advantages people who systematically underfunded programs they intend to benefit from so as to accumulate personal assets. If the young were to follow your lead, they'd deliberately underfund Medicare and leave you high and dry while feathering their own nests. Also they'd set a huge Capital Gains tax to hoover up all those unearned monies from property appreciation that advantages only those who happened to be around before the big uplifts began. There's no hard work required to purchase a property for $50K and watch other conditions boost its value to $250K. Why not claw back those unearned trillions to at least start to pay back the loans and deficits caused by the Gerontocracy who now claim they "earned" it while expecting everybody else to pay for it.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
"
