That's the problem. I am not seeing the icon about new updates.

I'll be on the lookout for this icon from now on.

On Monday the laptop was extremely slow and several things were not working properly. I ran Antivirus scan, Spyboot Destroy and also Malware Bytes and fixed a couple of problems. I also installed 58 new updates (yes, that many have been). After that the laptop seems to be functioning normally so far.
