Luis,

>>I know then i use scatter , i have an exact copy of my entire table fields, if i want to change one specific field for example conta, the correct way is:
>>replace m.conta with '22111'

No- REPLACE acts against a table or cursor. To change a variable, use = or STORE
myvar=100
store 200 to myvar2,myvar3
SCATTER MEMVAR used to be a most useful technique for data managing but there are automated alternatives now such as Views, Cursoradaptors or even SCATTER to an object.

My advice is to spend some time with an online guide such as a Hacker's Guide to VFP or one of the "1001 Things you wanted to know about VFP." Both will give you lessons from seasoned developers who can save you a heap of time figuring it all out yourself as you're currently attempting. At your stage I read books by a man called Rubel and Lisa Slater Nicholls, but neither has written for many years and the above options are worthy successors IMHO.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
