IOW, create a set of directories, for instance one per project, and create one config.fpw in each of them. That's what I do all the time. I also create a subdirectory from these directories for all temp files.
As mentioned, the Config.fpw in the VFP home directory is used by default. This fine, when the VFP9.exe is launched from the Thumb Drive. To resolve the more direct issue, I created a VFP.prg program, and placed it in the root folder of the application development folder. It sets the more specific environments setting (i.e Path, FoxUser, etc.).
When I run the VFP.prg from the file manager, the config.fpw n Home folder is used and remainder of the setting from the VFP.prg are ran at start up.
