>>>>Wow.. Pinky is one tough cat!

>>The animal control guy should have known better: once the cat on a leash wound himself around the man's leg and got stuck, of course it was going to fight and bite. Let go, dude, and/or don't let it wind itself up on your leg. Have to say, the transformation from the alleged loving "pet of the week" to a biting wildcat was pretty cool.

>Makes me wonder about the skill/training of the so-called animal control types. What a dumbass move, going after it with a box. Always have a few blankets handy when dealing with potential problem cats.

>A cautionary tale: an acquaintance had a dog that *hated* thunderstorms. One day she left the dog in the back yard while she went to run some errands, and while she was gone there was a thunderstorm. The dog really, REALLY wanted to get into the house, away from the thunderstorm. With just its teeth and front claws, it ripped a hole in the cedar siding, through the exterior plywood sheathing, through the insulation and most of the way through the interior drywall by the time she got back home.

>The dog was a female purebred Golden Retriever.
I knew someone that left their german shepherd outside on 4th of July (big fireworks on that night in the USA). Yep huge mistake - did pretty much the same thing your dog did, but her's did mange to get all the way into the house.
