>I will look for this key information "code first" to determine what to watch. Your comment "the designer is gone" sounds odd. But I know it is just that I know nothing about EF that it confuses me. Thank you!

Actually there are two methods of defining EF data:

-Code first
-Database first

Code first means that you create the objects - just classes that define the properties of the data, and then generate the database.

Database first is the opposite.

Once you do that, the app is the same, no matter which method you used to define the data.

>>>Quoting from your blog:
>>>"ASP.NET 5 uses Entity Framework 7 by default. The big change here is that the designer has been deprecated and is no longer available. It’s all EF Code First now."
>>>
>>>Does it mean that going through a course(s) at Pluralsight on EF earlier versions does not make sense?
Anyone who does not go overboard- deserves to.
