When Andy and I lived in England, I thought that we had the best possible location - we lived in a house on the river Thames in Caversham. We were about a 10 minute walk from the train station and could be in central London in about 20 minutes on a fast train.

Assuming that station was reading. trains at the moment are 35 minutes into paddington and then you've got a fair trek on the tube east to where most of the work tends to be. I live on the north edge of London at the moment . My preference would be to be as central as possible but with prices as they are thats not going to happen.

I wouldn't mind moving out West but with my wifes family all east of London I can't see that happening either.
