Don't think so, but would not bet large sums - the change did not register as important. I am certain in vfp6 it did not ;-)

Are you certain ? the old report engine is still on board AFAIK, but I am not a report power user.

Or can you encapsulate only the part you want to coverage, comile that into a separate vfp COM and call from old vfp8 including no changes for reports?
