TAPI provides many interface features to telehone switching systems that you *probably* don't need. One of the communications .ocx controls is probably more appropriate for communications and file transfer. Cresent systems, the maker of the MScomm32.ocx that comes with VFP makes an upgraded version called PDQcomm that includes file transfer protocols. There is also a communications library in the VFPYP of this site. I have not used this one, but others may know about it.
