(The word "terrorist" has ceased to have any meaning)
If the UK had done what we did after 9/11, it would have attacked Ireland and slaughtered hundreds of thousand of civilians.
Instead, it beefed up its security and intelligence, pursued suspects relentlessly, got rough with suspects when necessary, and at the same time let the US open a dialogue that led to the current status.
It's not perfect, but people aren't dying and there was no mass slaughter.
Anyone who does not go overboard- deserves to.
