Not IMO: would you refrain from buying any vehicle test driven in Russia, even if assembled by GM in Detroit or BMW in Dingolfing? And if so, would the time of testing [before/after BDS declarations] be an issue in deciding that?

Concur about hypocrisy abounding. But a guy leading in one party aiming for prez election should be more in focus of press and public interest - which he is and trying to milk it for all he can. As he dishes out with a heavy hand, he should take responses on a similar level.
