I see items which have a hyperlink capability based on "onClick" does not offer to open in a new window. That is the difference between the toolbar and the Title link you are making reference. The Universal Thread is a contained environment and is not built to allow this functionality. The reason is in order to proceed from page to page, you would need to remain within the interface. If you would open Profile, for example, in a new page, or the message, a lot of things will not work or gives some confusion once you will click on them.
