What i can confirm you:
-objects automation work only with adobe acrobat profesional (not the Reader).
i used an old version of adobe acrobat professionnel 5.0 and i tried it with some automation.At that time (04/2008) it worked
fine with vfp6.0 and i have posted a zip at this link (you can download and see) .
i cannot confirm if these codes work on latest and actual version but you can only have some ideas on how to work on
automation.

warning : many things have changed since (acrobat,Internet Explorer,....)
if you have conflict between acrobat pro and reader ,try to change the default association
for opening acrobat pdf files(rightclick on a pdf file...open always with....).
