Well I remember that most of the GE stuff I bought as of ten years ago were more or less garbage, or at least shoddy. The lightbulbs which would last a few long weeks, a headset/speakers switcher gadget which unfortunately had a volume button which started creating noise very soon... IOW, most of their production was already in China.
