Hi,

I connected to the customer server and wanted to make a separate backup of the database. So in the SSMS I go to Task -> Backup.

Then, in the Backup Database Window and lower section Destination I clicked on Add and specified the name of the additional backup (in some TEMP folder). I clicked on Ok and backup was done.

Now I want to remove this TEMP backup name. I can click on Remove button and the file is removed (but looks like temporarily). There is no Save button but only OK button. Now when I click on OK button the backup fails. And the message says that "..file.back is formatted to support 2 media families, but 1 media families are expected according to the backup device specification"

And therefore I am stuck without being able to remove the TEMP backup name and not even do the backup at all.

How would I get out of this? TIA.
