In a perfect world it might be nice if the Properties window showed something like [Inherited frmAllBase.cmdXLS ...classlibinfo...]

The PEM window is not showing any hierarchy, only the applicable source of the code, i.e. where is the particular method implemented. If it's empty in the instance, then it looks in the class, if empty there, parent class... all the way up to the base class. It just shows you where it found code which will be executed.
