Running the code that GENDBCX generates overwrites your data, as you know. But you can look at the code it creates to see how it issues the alter table commands. If your system isn't too complicated, you can write your own routines to update structures. Well, if they _are_ complicated, you could, of course *s*, but, in that case I'd look at Stonefield Tools (as Arnon suggests).
