The release date, tentatively, of VS7 is mid-2000. If VFP remains a part of VS (and no reason not to expect that) then you can count on the year 2000.

He said that work was continuing on VFP 7.0, but since 6.0 was just released, he couldn't give a date for VFP 7.0. He reinterated MS's commitment to VFP.
