>Excuse me for interrupting but was/is it also true that the ACA was going to force many of those plans to change or drop AND the administration knew that. So the statement may have been technically true when you add in "provided the suppliers do not cancel" but they knew that was exactly what was going to happen.

That is definitely true....and that has always been the problem. In the 36 documented instances (both before ACA was passed, after ACA was passed, and before/after 2012 election), there was never the qualification/equivocation/whatever-ication.

To JR's point, it's not relevant if the qualifier wasn't necessary to state. To put this in the context of our industry, I would expect to be fired by a client if I repeatedly made the kind of blanket assertion to a client that I knew wasn't correct, and tried to justified it later by saying that, "oh, of course I was only talking about the context of ABC". At the very least, it was horribly poor communication by a president whom I continue to assert has harmed the country by his own inexperience. But that's "at the very least". I think there is ample evidence that this was intentional deceit.

I offer this:

Obama's exact words: "With respect to the pledge I made that if you like your plan, you can keep it, I think -- and I’ve said in interviews -- that there is no doubt that the way I put that forward unequivocally ended up not being accurate."

Except he didn't "put that forward" once or twice. He did it 36 times. When you combine that with the now famous C-SPAN interview years before (where he acknowledged that 5-9 million would lose their plans), this affirmatively justifies the position that Obama lied to millions of Americans.
