I have tried many ways to make this work in VFP5. You have to use the edit menu in your program to get the copy and paste functions working. But if you don't want the menu to show at the top of your window, you can turn it off, but you have to continually turn it off, because other normal functions will turn it back on again. I finally took the advice of one in the know and upgraded to VFP6 and the capability is built in and always works just like you want it to.
