We can now confirm that the BIOS patch fixes the bug that caused the Skylake i3-6100 CPU to freeze at 100% on one core when trying to run a FoxPro 2.6 for DOS app (see thread # 1630254).

The bug has been reported in multiple places (http://techreport.com/news/29585/prime95-can-cause-intel-skylake-cpus-to-freeze, http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2016/01/intel-skylake-bug-causes-pcs-to-freeze-during-complex-workloads/, http://www.pcworld.com/article/3021023/hardware/how-to-test-your-pc-for-the-skylake-bug.html) as affecting the Prime95 app, but in our experience also affects FoxPro for DOS apps.

The hardware that the network guys put together for our clients uses the Gigabyte GA-B150M-D3H motherboard. The required BIOS patch for that board is the "F6e" patch (http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5491#bios).

We backed off of the Skylake i5 CPU so I don't have any information on a patch for that one, but my guess is there is or will be one for i5's and i7's, too.
