You might keep Advantage in mind for ODBC drivers supporting more recent vfp features and/or 64 bit implementation.

>i know the problem of using odbc drivers, but my fear was that using directly tables of my erp with oledb these tables could be locked. if it isn't this is a good news for me......

>>>I always used Crystal reports with a defined DSN ODBC connection that worked on temp tables generated runtime before to call my reports and i begun to use alternatively OLEDB connection to use directly my tables without quering them. I have some reports that use both solutions.....Some tables are opened via ODBC and others in OLEDB.....Apparently no problems, but i have a doubt.....When i use tables with OLEDB can i have problems in sharing the tables that i'm using in the reports..are they normally shared or they are locked while crystal reports use them ? I think not, but i ask someone to confirm this.
