If SFQ doesn't put VFP-only stuff inside the expression, you would write an SP, e.g., myEmpty, that you strtran(kcSQL, "!empty(", "myempty(') with. We had to do that with max() and min() in SQL queries. Or you would just use strtran() to make the substitutions. We did min() and max() as sp's because they required the use of t-sql calls to arrive at the desired result, while this is a simple substitution.

>Maybe I didn't phrase the question correctly. You see I am using an older version of SFQuery which returns the Filter expression as "!empty(mytable.myfield)" . So I need to parse the returned expression changing the "!empty..." with "len(...)>0". So, in theory I can replace the "!empty(..." with what you are suggesting "rtrim(..." but still I am looking for a way to parse the expression.
