The only thing I find Intimidating is that I only speak english. Wouldn't be a problem is some places like the UK where it's the native language - but I wonder how difficult is would be in Asia.

I speak enough Spanish to get by and Andy speaks a little French. I suppose it all depends you your aptitude to learn new languages. Our niece taught English in China, Peru and Madrid and did not know a word of Spanish or of Mandarin when she started. Now she speaks both.

Don't worry - when you travel abroad and tell people that you are American, they already figure that this translates to "I only speak English - and not very well" ;)
