Reason I ask - the link you mentioned is something I would definitely *not* consider a "very good article".

I realize no article can cover every feature, but this one fails to mention several key aspects of CDC (issue with DDL changes, operation codes, retention, specific change tracking tables, latency, the fact that CDC doesn't capture "who" made the change, etc.), and also makes a few misleading statements (the statement about ETL loads is just plain wrong, and he doesn't mention the Enterprise edition).

It's barely a blog post, and not a very good one at that. And not to be overbearing, but only a person who has done some CDC implementations would be able to spot that.
