I wouldn't accept a security system that CAN be reset by some secret means. Hence the publication of Blowfish and AES and DES algorithms so people can satisfy themselves that they want to rely on it. Security through obscurity is not secure at all. My expectation is that Apple cannot hack a phone, just as the Refox dude cannot or will not help unpick an app protected by his system because if he can- then it's not protected at all.

>>Really?
>>Try walking thru downtown Trenton waving fistfuls of cash and see what happens.

A phone looks like fistfuls of cash if you can easily hack it and access online sites and passwords. And many/most people have access to more $ via their phone than they would ever carry as cash.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
"
