Yes, I'm pretty critical of him too.
His foreign policy blunders were so monumental that no matter what else he did, that's what comes to mind when most people think of him.
In my case, I do think of that but I also think of something else.
He and I share a love of oil painting.
The attached is a letter he sent me while he was still in office.
There's quite a back story to it with some hilarious twists and turns- too long to go into here- but let me just say the letter was a very kind gesture on his part and came as a complete surprise.
So he'll always be a classy man in my mind.
Anyone who does not go overboard- deserves to.
