I dont remember that vfp statusbar displays a progressbar (even when compiling a project).
there is an IDE progressbar displayed when compiling proj but on vfp window and it can be built with native Thermometer Foundation Class (there is an example in vfp solution). or by activeX.(MSComctlLib.ProgCtrl.2)
Nowadays there is more beautiful and colored progressabars
