Actually, I did use the PEM editor before I got Thor, for a while. The trouble with that approach was that it had to be registered/accessible or somehow available, which meant some code in the startup. Now I keep a toolbar with just two buttons (the other one is GoFish), which is instantiated by, IIRC, Thor itself - it's all a part of my cleanup routine which I call dozens of times a day, and I've set that up so long ago that I get in trouble when things get moved (e.g. when I moved to a new disk and the work partition had a different letter now). It just plain works and I keep forgetting how I set it up :).
