Hi all,

I finally discovered - whilst changing my 10-years old dev machine - that the resource I was using at all time without even thinking about it - the molebox packer was gone, the company closed, the site is down and the product which reliead partly on their site for install validation no more installable !.

What is (was) molebox ? A virtual app builder that allow(ed) you to pack a 32-bits executable and its host of dlls and ocx into a single executable application and forget about installers, registry settings, msi and more... That was my experience during the last 5 years and I should say that I liked that a lot. What was "that" all about? Software plainly run from a USB drive, app install as a plain copy to the desktop. I tried to push the product on this very forum. With limited success. VFP time is passed of course.

I am now dead in the water with a VFP9 application - yep the old style one - that I want to keep simple in terms of admin. I do not want to get back to where I come from, become the master of installshied, inno or whatever... I appreciate what molebox was bringing here.

I understand that there may be alternatives such as enigma or even cameyo (did not work for me) but - as far as I could see - no real cheap and simple ones that were a snap as molebox used to be. Any feedback - in the very field of the question only - is welcome.

Daniel

PS; I sent a mail to Olga Marchevska who as running the shop. To no avail. I may try Alexéy Sudachén the brilliant dev behind the product as well. But it may just be beating a dead horse. Apart from trying to crack the product, some may have certainly done that but I am not that style of person, i feel there is no solution here:(
