When you have it like it is now, where it's illegal in some places, partly legal in others, and yet completely legal in some, then you end up with stupid crap like this story happening to people. The reason for the resistance is money. Law was passed to make same sex marriage legal - but no one is going to loose billions and billions of dollars because same sex marriage is legal. But if you make pot legal, then the billions and billions of dollars that go to the DEA, lawyers, police, prisons (which have a very disturbing growing trend of being privately owned) will end. Kansas is just plain wrong on what they've done here.

None. However since I live in Hawaii I did get a medical card for it two and a half years ago after getting slammed into by a car while I was on my motorcycle. After a few weeks in the hospital and several operations later I began the long recovery process and dealt with some pretty major pain (almost lost my leg - held together by metal rods and pins now). I only used the mega-painkillers I was prescribed for the first 4 days I was out of the hospital - then I used some weed that a compassionate friend brought over for me. I liked it better than taking the oxycodone pain killers - those kinda upset my stomach and turned me into a total space-case, and the weed - for ME anyway - seemed to do about the same for my pain as the oxycodone. After a couple of months I didn't need it anymore. Had I been in Kansas and hot had the legal stuff to do it I might of just rolled the dice and risked it....maybe. But that is not a risk people should be forced to take.
